Spent a magical time there recently with a wonderful person among the Swifts, the crystal clear water by the church steps was so good, a beautiful gem - a very special place indeed.

My grandmother (paternal) Amelia delorenzo married Emilio pivirotto. They first went to Ohio and eventually moved to Bergman county-Clifton, Passaic, Garfield. Not sure if they were both from Vinigo. Came to the US in early 1900โ€™s.

Hello - My great-grandmother was Teresina Pivirotto (b. 1861 in Monteverde, Avellino, Campania, Italy). She was married in 1884 in Vinigo to Angelo DeLorenzo (b. 1861 Vinigo di Cadore). They emigrated to Pennsylvania U.S. in 1886. My grandmother Laura (Vinya) DeLorenzo was born in 1896 in Plum Pennsylvania and later went by the name Laura Lawrence. My father was Alvin Robert Moorman, b. 1924. It would be interesting to find out about relatives in Italy or here in the U.S. (I'm in Los Angeles), to see any written records or photos of my great-grandparents. The website is wonderful!

My grandmother,Theresa Pivirotto, emigrated from Vinigo in the early 1900's. She settled near Lowell, Massachusetts and later married Pasquale Bandini. They raised their family in Medford, Massachusetts. I wonder if any of the people on this par ate relatives?

Alvast bedankt. Doreen Albers

Thank you for this website. My grandfather was Bartolomeo Marchiony. He emigrated to the New York area in the early 1900s and fought in WWI. He and his brothers started up an ice cream company in Brooklyn NY. It was interesting to see in Vinigos history that ice cream was produced there!

Ciao Vinigo 2021, my name is Bruce Piverotto and I'm hoping that everyone there is well and safe. My great-grandfather came to America on February 27, 1897 and settled in New Jersey where many Italians were relocating. His name was Albino Pivirotto and wondering if I have relatives in Vinigo that I'm related to through Albino? My brother and I were planning a trip to Italy last year to visit but that will have to wait!! Albino married a woman named G. Egatz and I'm excited to visit Vinigo and trace my family line.

Hello, My mother, Giovanna Pivorotto, is from this village. She moved to the USA at a young age, I believe 10 years old, with her mother and father and settled in Garfield, NJ. Myself, my wife, and my son had the opportunity to take my Mom back last year, in October, to visit her birthplace and the place of her younger years. It was the most wonderful experience to visit this truly beautiful and pure place! We all had a fantastic time visiting our cousins, Attilio, Angelina, and Giuliana, am of whom still reside in Vinigo. I canโ€™t wait to go back and visit this most beautiful place on earth!!!;
